Oversaw the selection of a General Contractor, and reviewed monthly progress draws with owners. Two major issues arose in the excavation, first was 3 barrels of cure oil undetected in preliminary investigations this was dealt with efficiently and I only shut down the site for 4 days. The second was at level -4 when the GC hit an underground river, this was plugged by bringing in a team from Alberta and we shut down the site for 6 days. By efficiently researching the problems I was able to continue construction and reduced shutdown times thus saving the owners massive change orders, further, my knowledge of construction law assisted in the process.
